Seriously love the fact that you're giving us these updates, brother. ""Well, you know my name is Simon, and I like to make drawerings..."Sorry, every time I hear his name, this show comes to mind.....

ANYWAY, as I look down the dusty trail of NHL season, let's just assume that guys like Ed, Johans, Mo Sides, Raymond, Cossa, etc.... are all in the NHL. I worry about cap implications (again, in a perfect world, we're rocking in the SCPO, contending for deeper runs, etc...). I know, I'm being a buzz-kill and looking WAAAY down the road. But it's kinda nice to just imagine the pain of having to pay all of these kids what the could be worth.....versus dumping all of those bloated contracts & wasted players.....

Thanks again, J!!!

No worries at all. Yzerman did a good job in TB with cap numbers but had a friendly tax structure. I think he’ll be able to get buy in, but some of these kids may well get paid. Last summer defensemen made some serious $$$

I had no problem with the Wings taking Edvinsson at #4. He is a super talented kid... and for his size he's an impressive skater with great mobility. If you watch his highlights... he reads the play so well that is developing. He knows where the puck is going to be and is able to dissolve a play that could turn in to a scoring chance. This is a kid whom I think will be a true top pairing defenseman. I just hope he keeps developing and stays healthy and not get injured. I know Hakan Andersson was "pounding the draft table" to pick him per Draper.. and Hakan is the best European scout in the NHL for the last 25 years.

I'm hoping to see this kid play in GR maybe next year. Heck... Tatar was in GR when he was 18 (the youngest player in the AHL that year). Jiri Hudler was pretty young too I think.

I still liked Eklund better at 4, he is already playing in the NHL for SJ. But I am sure I will like Eddy when he makes the team next year, too.

For sure. Depending on how the season goes, he may do an AHL stint at the end of the year. Would love to see him sporting the Blue and White

The backend looks like it should be our strength in a couple of years.
Edvinsson 6’4”- Seider 6’3”
Hronek 6’- Johansson 6’
Buium 6’3’ - Lindstrom 6’2”
Subrango 6’1” - Toumisto 6’3”

Could you imagine being a 1st line looking at our #1 pairing???

I watched Sebrango in pre-season, he was OK, was definitely overwhelmed 99% of the time, but that 1% looked pretty good......Definitely needs work. Lindstrom will take some time to develop, but he really isn't too awful. This Buium kid, he plays for U of Denver, right? JEREMY, isn't this the D-kid you're really high on?? Do you know his story/stats?

Heck, I was saying snag a goalie at #4!!! Shows how much of a knuckle-head I am!! Eddy's an unknown to me, other than what Jeremy's been telling us....and I like what I hear!!!
